Free freelance project price calculator

Type in your own hours and rate. The calculator adds the hours people forget (calls, email, admin, revision rounds and a buffer), then gives you a project price and a copy-paste price line for your proposal.

Runs entirely in your browser; nothing is sent or saved. It does math on your numbers. It does not suggest a rate.

Copy-paste price line

How to use the number

  1. Sanity-check the hours against the real steps of the job. If the total looks low, it usually is.
  2. Decide fixed price or hourly with a cap, and say which in writing.
  3. Put the price line into your proposal next to the scope, so the price and what it covers sit together.
  4. When the client asks for more later, use the scope creep emails instead of quietly absorbing it.

Want the worksheets?

The Freelance First-Client Kit has the sheets around the price: client intake, discovery notes, a proposal outline (price left blank for you), scope notes, a first-48-hours checklist and an invoice due-date log, as Markdown + CSV twins for Google Sheets or Excel. 21 files, $27 one-time. The calculator stays free either way.
